Seattle elopement photographer

You've decided to elope! Congrats!

It's official! You and your significant other have kicked tradition to the curb and are ready to do things your way. But now, the dust has settled and the early planning stages have begun, and now comes the next question...where?

That's where I come in!

Hi! I'm Jordan, your photographer. I have lived in Seattle almost my whole life and absolutely love it here.

Seattle natives that still reside here are rare these days and the knowledge that comes with the best spots is even rarer. But don't you worry, I've got that knowledge. Let me be your guide! I will help you pick the best spot for you and your significant other and tailor your elopement to suit you perfectly.

The proximity to the mountains and the ocean, the city parks, the historic buildings...all make for excellent backdrops for your elopement.

More about me

Being in the city can often feel like you're in the "concrete jungle", but I disagree with that statement when it comes to Seattle. Whether you want to elope one of the lush city parks, the classic downtown courthouse, or drive an hour east to the mountains...there are so many options in and near Seattle that blend the best of all worlds.

But what all goes into planning an elopement?

Now that we've decided on your location, you're probably wondering...what's next? Well I'm not only here to document your big day, but I'm going to be with you every step of the way in the planning process.
  • CREATE AND CUSTOMIZE A TIMELINE FOR THE DAY SO THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE PRESSURES OF PLANNING. THIS DAY SHOULD BE TAILORED TO WHO YOU TWO ARE AS A COUPLE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

  • ASSIST WITH PICKING OUT THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR YOU. WE WILL ALSO ESTABLISH BACK UP PLANS IN THE CASE OF BAD WEATHER.

  • RESEARCH AND SECURE ANY PERMITS WE MAY NEED SO THAT YOU FEEL AT EASE KNOWING ALL OF THE LOGISTICAL (AND NOT SO ROMANTIC) THINGS HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF.

  • RECOMMEND VENDORS, PLACES TO STAY, RESTAURANTS TO DINE AT, OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND ENERGY AND MAKE YOUR CELEBRATION EXTRA SPECIAL.

In addition to being your photographer, I also...

Some sweet words...

Yup! Depending on where you want to elope, there will be permits involved. It varies from park to park, but just plan on allowing plenty of time for the permits to go through and set aside some extra cash for them as well.

In the sate of Washington, it is required by law that you acquire your marriage license no less than THREE days before you plan to say 'I do'.

...anything else?

On top of the marriage license, you will also need TWO witnesses to make it official. I am more than happy to be one of those two witnesses. The other one can be a guest you plan to bring, or even a friendly stranger we meet on the trail.

A licensed officiant is required to make it official in the state of Washington. There are a lot of options for officiants out there...you can even have a friend do it!

Last, but perhaps most importantly, it is vital that we follow the Leave no Trace Principles. This goes for everywhere, but is especially important in our state and national parks.

Being prepared is one of those principles and I will help ensure that we are indeed prepared. But we also must respect the sacred spaces that we are inhabiting by limiting our impact as much as humanly possible.
